Matugga Golden Rum
$50.00
THE STORY: Hailing from Livingston, Scotland (near Edinburgh), Matugga Distillers Limited produces boldly distinctive rums drawing from the Jamaican and Ugandan heritage of founders Jacine and Paul Rutasikwa. From the very first sips of their rums we knew we wanted to bring their delightfully multicultural bottlings to the US! Their Swahili motto is “pole pole ndio mwendo”, meaning “slowly slowly is the way to go”, reflecting the patience and care that goes into every drop of Matugga rum.
THE RUM: Close your eyes while sipping this rum and you’ll swear you’ve discovered a new Jamaican distillery … but it’s the work of a Ugandan master distiller in Scotland! Pungent, redolent of exotic ripe fruits, slightly smoky and built on a foundation of spicy oak, Matugga Golden is a true original that defies any easy classification.
PRODUCTION: Ex-bourbon casks, copper pot still
STRENGTH: 42% ABV

Kyrië – Netherlands Cane Juice Rum
$40.00SOLD OUT
For fearless funky cane juice addicts only, Kyrië is searingly pungent with savory lemongrass notes & a graceful finish of confectioner’s sugar.
We’re proud to feature this US debut of Amsterdam’s RUMMIECLUB distillery, featuring the wildly inventive creations of Master Distillers Judith de Bie and Martin Gerrits.
Update March 2024: Sadly, the Rummieclub Distillery announced that they will be closing as of June 2024, making the existing stock the very last rum to ever be released by their distillery. We only imported 80 liters of Kyrïe, so get it while it lasts!

Whistler 14 yr Venezuela Rum
$45.00We think of this as the “Everything Bagel” of rums. It’s a sumptuous smorgasbord that checks a wild variety of flavors: Sea salt caramel, bitter mocha, baking spices, toasted oak, a little citrus zing, a touch of funky petrol.

Guardians (8 yr Trinidad Rum)
$45.00OUR TAKE: Guardians is the real sleeper in this lineup – Trinidad has produced some of the greatest rum in history (RIP, Caroni!) but also puts out a lot of so-so high volume juice so we didn’t enter the selection process assuming we’d come out with a “Trini”. And while the Foursquare and the Guyana were big, bold flashy candidates, this Trinidad kept popping up, refusing to be ignored (maybe because it’s over TWO THIRDS alcohol but drinks more like a 55 percenter). We succumbed to its fruity delights with absolutely zero regrets!
