If not evident from our first release, we love a good Foursquare. This one, however, comes with a special story. Our life in the UK was filled with people close to our heart and it is with those people we selected this cask. We wanted to put this out now, as part of our second release, as a thank you to them and the support they provided over the years in getting Bedford Park off the ground. This 15-year-old rum was distilled in 2009 and moved to Europe in 2018, where it has remained since, maturing in a once used bourbon barrel.
The other special part of this story is our opportunity to work with Kath Lobo, a comic artist and illustrator from Costa Rica who has worked with a variety of creators, including DC, Mad Cave Studios, Boom! and Comic Experience. We are very lucky that Kath agreed to lend her talents to a Bedford Park label for our Stargazing series. “Silent Night Under the Stars” is a label that is the perfect fit for what this rum represents to us, a love of the night sky and sharing it with those closest to our hearts.
This single barrel rum is non-chill filtered with no additives, yielding 244 bottles at a cask strength of 60.8% ABV.
