This 23-year-old rum from an unnamed distillery in breathtaking Trelawny in Jamaica, known for its flavourful pot still heavy rums, was distilled in 2000, before being transferred to Europe where it was filled, and spent the entirety of its maturation in a new French Oak cask.
Finding a stand-out rum from this distillery has been a personal mission for a while. Like the best of surprises, this particular rum was suggested to us as we were winding down our search for the holiday season. “One last sample,” we thought and this brought a sparkle to our eye and surpassed every expectation, leaving us elated at the idea of being able to bottle this as part of our first release. The character of this rum shows you that patience does pay off, and affirmed our determination to continue our search to bring rums like this to your shelf as well.
The label is designed by Toronto-born, LA-based illustrator / production designer Patrick O’Keefe, whose recent works include the animated Spider-Man films, Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse.
This single barrel rum is non-chill filtered with no additives, yielding 402 bottles at a cask strength of 54.8% ABV.

Kyrië II – Netherlands Cane Juice Rum
$40.00KYRÏE II is from the same batch as the original Kyrïe, but with an additional 3 months of aging in a rum cask. Our original plan was for a longer aging but Kyrïe I was so popular & sold out so quickly we caved in and bottled the last of the Kyrïe that you’re holding in your hands! To be honest it’s not wildly different than the original Kyrïe, just a bit fuller and rounder in its mouthfeel. It’s still for fearless funky cane juice addicts only, Kyrië is searingly pungent with savory lemongrass notes & a graceful finish of confectioner’s sugar

Kinnara 9 yr Thailand Rum
$40.00We’re excited to be one of the very first IBs to release a rum from Thailand. While most of their domestic releases are heavily sweetened, we were so thrilled that their unadulterated distillate is wonderful stuff (at a reasonable price!) that we bought two casks. We’ve always wanted a quality “gateway” rum that was instantly accessible to rum newbies but still had the complexity and stamina to impress jaded rum aficionados. We were thrilled to find this rum in Thailand, a new country for most rum drinkers.
Why is this the “male” cask? He has a strong lingering oaky finish while his sibling “female cask” opens beautifully with lush, resonant floral notes.

Burning Cane (15 yr Barbados Foursquare)
$49.99We jumped all over this cask instantly – currently there isn’t a hotter distillery in rum than Foursquare and its hype as “The Pappy Van Winkle of rum” is fully deserved: Powerful and multi-dimensional yet very approachable, even for rum newbies. Some single cask Foursquares trade for four figures … but our Burning Cane gets you cask strength world class juice at an impressive 15 years of aging for less than $50. At the time of this bottle’s release we compared this to Foursqaure’s vaunted Exceptional Cask Series – it would have ranked #1 for highest ABV and #3 for longest aging.
Cask strength Foursquare of this age can be a seductive gateway to fine rum, with fragrant summer fruit notes to grab cognac aficionados & the caramel intensity and oaky backbone to pull in whiskey fans. This cask’s luscious kettle corn opening evolves to a prolonged tree bark and gingerbread cookie finish.
