Kyrië II – Netherlands Cane Juice Rum

KYRÏE II is from the same batch as the original Kyrïe, but with an additional 3 months of aging in a rum cask. Our original plan was for a longer aging but Kyrïe I was so popular & sold out so quickly we caved in and bottled the last of the Kyrïe that you’re holding in your hands! To be honest it’s not wildly different than the original Kyrïe, just a bit fuller and rounder in its mouthfeel.

THE LEGEND: Kyrïe was king of a clan of gnomes who would help Dutch people with housework late at night when they couldn’t be seen. A farmer tried to catch an elusive gnome and shot King Kyrië who crawled back home to die. The gnomes were never seen again. BUMMER!

THE RUM: For fearless funky cane juice addicts only, Kyrië is searingly pungent with savory lemongrass notes & a graceful finish of confectioner’s sugar.

We’re proud to feature this US debut of Amsterdam’s RUMMIECLUB distillery, featuring the wildly inventive creations of Master Distillers Judith de Bie and Martin Gerrits.

Update (March 2024): Sadly, the Rummieclub Distillery announced that they will be closing as of June 2024, making the existing stock the very last rum to ever be released by their distillery. We only imported 80 liters of Kyrïe, so get it while it lasts!
